This Privacy Policy describes how Renovare ("Renovare," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Renovare web application. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
Information we collect
Account information: name, email address, role (client or provider), and profile details you choose to add.
Project and business data: project details, messages, files you upload, invoices, payment records, and related metadata needed to operate the platform.
Payment-related data: when you pay or receive payments through Stripe Connect, Stripe processes payment method and transaction data. We store references such as payment status, amounts, and Stripe identifiers, not full card numbers.
Technical data: device/browser type, IP address, and usage logs used for security, debugging, and service reliability.
Area search: if you save a ZIP code or search by area, we use that information to show relevant contractors and jobs. We do not track your device GPS location in the web app.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide and improve Renovare features you use;
- Authenticate users and enforce access controls;
- Facilitate invoicing, hosted pay links, and payment status updates;
- Send transactional emails (for example, invites and invoice notifications);
- Monitor abuse, fraud, and security incidents; and
- Comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
Service providers: we use vendors that help us run the product, including Supabase (hosting and database), Stripe (payments), and email delivery providers. They process data on our instructions.
Other users: project participants can see information shared within a project (for example, messages, updates, and invoices they are permitted to access).
Legal and safety: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of users and the service.
We do not sell your personal information.
Retention
We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal requirements. You may request deletion subject to limitations (for example, records we must keep for billing or security).
Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections, access controls, and database row-level security. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong password and protect your login credentials.
Your choices
You can update profile information in the app. You may contact us to access, correct, or delete certain information where applicable law provides those rights.
Children
Renovare is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
International users
Renovare is operated from the United States. If you access the service from other regions, your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate.
